Bears head coach Ben Johnson ruled out Caleb Williams for Week 4 against the Jets but stopped short of naming a starter between Tyson Bagent and Case Keenum. During his Friday press conference, Johnson said the team would "find out on Sunday" which quarterback would start, per reporting from NFL Trade Rumors citing Brad Biggs.
While signs point toward Bagent getting the start, per Pro Football Talk, Johnson's refusal to confirm the decision left the starter officially undetermined heading into the weekend. ESPN reported that Johnson was similarly noncommittal, declining to say which of the two backups would take the field against New York.
