The Chicago Bears signed quarterback Miller Moss to the practice squad and elevated him for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers, per multiple reports. In a corresponding move, the Bears released safety Keidron Smith from the practice squad, according to Windy City Gridiron.
The move comes as backup quarterback Tyson Bagent is listed as questionable for the Panthers game with a back injury, and the Bears appear to be expecting him to be inactive, per Pro Football Talk. The Bears also elevated wide receiver Kaden Davis from the practice squad for the matchup. Davis, 27, originally signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent following the 2022 NFL Draft before being cut during training camp and joining Chicago's practice squad in November, per NFL Trade Rumors.
Following Sunday's game, the elevated players are expected to revert to the practice squad, according to Windy City Gridiron.
