Blue Jays Recall Woods Richardson, McAdoo; Option Estrada, Schneider

The Blue Jays recalled right-hander Simeon Woods Richardson and infielder Charles McAdoo from Triple-A Buffalo on Monday, per Sportsnet. In corresponding moves, the team optioned right-hander Lazaro Estrada and utility man Davis Schneider to the minor leagues.

McAdoo earned the recall after being named International League Player of the Week, posting a 13-for-28 line with four home runs over the week, according to reporting from Yahoo Sports and Sportsnet. He was in the starting lineup Monday playing third base. McAdoo is among the Jays' top-30 prospects in the system.

The moves come as the Blue Jays open a four-game series against the Red Sox at home. Catcher Willie MacIver was designated for assignment to open up a 40-man roster spot, per MLB Trade Rumors.
