The Brewers reinstated right-hander Joel Kuhnel from the 15-day injured list and designated him for assignment, per MLB Trade Rumors. Kuhnel, 31, was acquired by Milwaukee from the Athletics in a cash deal in June. He made ten appearances for the Brewers, allowing seven earned runs in 9 innings pitched.

The move comes as the Brewers prepare for their matchup against the Cubs, one of several notable games on the day's slate alongside the Yankees-Angels contest.
