Luther Burden III had four catches for 130 yards and a touchdown by halftime of Thursday Night Football, and Chicago led New England 20-14 at the break, per Pro Football Talk and Yahoo Sports. The Bears won the game 30-24 at Soldier Field.

Burden did not add to his receiving line after halftime. The box score has him at four catches on four targets for 130 yards and one touchdown, the same numbers PFT and Yahoo reported at the half. His longest catch went for 58 yards, and he also had a 7-yard carry. That works out to 32.5 yards per reception.

The Patriots had the better efficiency numbers. They averaged 7.6 yards per play to Chicago's 6.1 and threw for 310 yards on 24 of 31 passing, but they ran only 50 plays to the Bears' 66. Chicago held the ball for 32:24 to New England's 27:36 and went 4 of 12 on third down and 2 of 2 on fourth. It scored touchdowns on three of four red-zone trips, while New England managed one of two. The Patriots threw an interception, and the Bears had no turnovers. Both teams were flagged about ten times, with New England penalized 10 times for 71 yards and Chicago 9 times for 69. The last play of the game was a 58-yard field goal by C. Santos.

The result moves Chicago to 5-2 and second in the NFC North, with a two-game winning streak. That follows a 31-7 loss at Green Bay on Oct. 11 and a 31-23 win at Atlanta on Oct. 18. New England falls to 4-3, second in the AFC East, with its first loss in three games. Before Thursday it had beaten the Jets 26-19 and the Raiders 45-17.

The story's headline came from CBS Sports, which ran a promotional piece for Thursday's game. It offered new Kalshi users a $55 bonus with code CBSSPORTS55 after $25 or more in trades on the Week 7 matchup. Only that outlet carried the offer. The halftime reports from PFT and Yahoo said nothing about it, and neither report went beyond the first-half score and Burden's line.

New England next plays at Miami on Sunday, Nov. 1, and will try to bounce back from only its third game with 24 or fewer points allowed this stretch of the schedule's tight finishes. Chicago has a quick turnaround to a Monday night game at Seattle on Nov. 2.
