The Cowboys have cut short their planned competition for the starting left tackle position, installing Tyler Guyton to practice full time with the first-team offense, per ESPN's Todd Archer.
Dallas entered its offseason program with Guyton and Nate Thomas competing for the job. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer has liked what he's seen from Guyton and wants to give him more reps, according to Archer. Schottenheimer made it clear that Guyton is in the lead for the starting role, though the team still wants to see more from Thomas in a first-team rotation.
