Pete Crow-Armstrong hit his 40th home run of the season, joining an exclusive group of 10 Cubs players to reach that milestone in a single season.
One outlet noted that with 18 games remaining in the regular season, Crow-Armstrong still has the opportunity to become the eighth 40-40 player in MLB history. Per one Reddit post, Crow-Armstrong is also the first player in the Cubs' 151-season history to record 40-plus home runs and 30-plus stolen bases in a single season.
The achievement comes as Crow-Armstrong has strengthened his National League MVP candidacy, according to Yahoo Sports.
