The Miami Dolphins announced 12 roster cuts on Saturday as they prepare to reach the 53-man limit required by Sunday's deadline. Per NFL Trade Rumors, the players waived were: DB Alex Austin, RB Coleman Bennett, T Kevin Cline, DE Seth Coleman-Lyles, TE Ethan Conner, LB Stephen Dix Jr., RB Donovan Edwards, DL Alex Huntley, and S Louis Moore, among others.

Austin, a 24-year-old cornerback and three-year starter at Oregon State, had been selected by the Buffalo Bills in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft before joining Miami. Conner, 24, went undrafted out of Troy this past April before signing with the Dolphins. Among the other cuts, the team also waived offensive lineman Kevin Cline and linebacker Stephen Dix Jr., per Barry Jackson's reporting.

The Dolphins' moves are part of a league-wide roster reduction happening this weekend, with all 32 NFL clubs required to cut down to 53 players by Sunday.
