The Guardians stayed alive in the ALDS with a convincing 9-3 victory over the White Sox on Wednesday afternoon, avoiding elimination after falling behind 2-1 in the series. Now the teams return to Chicago for Game 4 on Friday, with the White Sox holding a one-game lead and the Guardians facing a win-or-go-home scenario.
The winner will advance to the ALCS to face the Rays, who defeated the Yankees on Wednesday evening to clinch their division series. Per multiple outlets, the ALCS will begin Monday in St. Petersburg.
