Kyle McCord put on a strong performance in the Green Bay Packers' preseason finale, throwing four touchdown passes in the team's 42-38 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. According to Sportsnet, McCord completed 226 passing yards and a 119.5 passer rating. J. Michael Sturdivant caught six passes for 112 yards and a touchdown in the win.
In separate comments, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur addressed the team's roster plans. LaFleur said the organization will stand by running back Josh Jacobs, though ESPN reported that LaFleur expressed uncertainty about whether Jacobs would play in Week 1. ESPN also reported that LaFleur's comments came one day after Jacobs was charged with two misdemeanors related to an alleged incident earlier this year with a woman at his home. Despite the charges, LaFleur stated the team "fully anticipates" Jacobs remaining on the roster.
