The New England Patriots will begin the 2026 season against the Seattle Seahawks, setting up a rematch with the team that ended their Super Bowl hopes. Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels acknowledged the challenge ahead, stating he needs to do a better job of limiting the Seahawks' opportunities, per multiple outlets.

The Seahawks defeated the Patriots 29-13 in the Super Bowl at Levi's Stadium in February, according to reporting from Pats Pulpit. That loss came after the Patriots had what was described as a successful 2025 season under head coach Mike Vrabel.

Week 1 of the 2026 season will feature the Patriots-Seahawks matchup on Wednesday night. Multiple outlets have previewed the matchup, noting roster ties between the two teams heading into the opener.
