Fernando Mendoza's second preseason game did not go smoothly. The Raiders rookie threw a pick-six, was sacked once and hit four additional times in the contest against the Texans, per Pro Football Talk.
According to Sportsnet, Houston linebacker Wade Woodaz intercepted Mendoza and returned it 80 yards for a touchdown. Yahoo Sports reported that Mendoza also threw an interception earlier in the game during the second preseason week.
The struggles contributed to a modest offensive output. Per multiple outlets, the Raiders managed only three points in the game. Yahoo Sports noted Mendoza had a strong preseason debut in Week 1, setting up a notably different performance in Week 2.
