MLB Trade Rumors published this week's mailbag, fielding questions about the Cardinals' third base situation, Jackson Chourio's ceiling, and Cade Cavalli's breakout season. The Cardinals have struggled at the position this year, with limited organizational options beyond Jesus Aguilar, per the report.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals face roster challenges heading into this weekend's series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The team avoided a matchup with Pirates prospect Paul Skenes after winning the final game against Baltimore, per Viva El Birdos.

In other news, the Dodgers' recent acquisition Tarik Skubal will face his former team, the Detroit Tigers, in an upcoming series. According to True Blue LA, Skubal joined Los Angeles less than a month ago and will get to return to Detroit despite his short tenure with the defending champions.
