Cleveland Browns head coach Todd Monken told reporters he anticipates naming a starting quarterback on Monday, per multiple outlets. The decision will come between Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders following the team's second preseason loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Monken said that Watson's postgame comments after being booed by the home crowd—which Monken described as "personal" and "disrespectful"—will not be a factor in the decision, per Pro Football Talk and NFL Trade Rumors.
The Browns also made roster moves Sunday, placing defensive end Alex Wright on injured reserve and signing Derek Barnett to replace him, per Deadspin. The team signed former Cowboys defensive tackle Tommy Akingbesote, though his move was with the Jaguars, per NFL Trade Rumors.
