NFL owners voted Wednesday to approve the $9.612 billion sale of the Seattle Seahawks from Paul Allen's estate to the Khosla family, per ESPN. The vote was unanimous, exceeding the three-quarters majority required for approval.

Vinod Khosla, a 49ers limited partner, led the group that reached the agreement to purchase the team. His wife, Neeru Khosla, will serve as the controlling owner, while their son Neil Khosla will take a significant role, per NFL Trade Rumors citing Adam Schefter. The sale price represents a league record for an NFL franchise.

The approval came more than a month after the initial agreement with the Khosla family was announced.
