Nick Chubb has announced his retirement from the NFL after eight seasons. Per NFL Trade Rumors, the running back shared the news via Instagram on Friday. The 30-year-old is a four-time Pro Bowler who played for the Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans.
Multiple outlets attributed Chubb's decision to lower body injuries that cut his career short. CBS Sports noted that Chubb, described as one of the NFL's most dynamic running backs of the 2020s, hung it up due to multiple lower body injuries. In his retirement announcement, per the Reddit post citing his Instagram statement, Chubb said he "wanted to end my career on a healthy note, along with a winning season" and that he was able to do so.
