No. 17 Washington pulled out a 24-10 victory over Washington State in the Apple Cup on Sunday, according to ESPN. The game marked a season opener between the longstanding rivals.

Despite the win, the Huskies' offensive performance left fans unimpressed. Yahoo Sports reported that college football fans criticized the matchup as "sloppy" and "ugly," with social media reaction describing it as "just awful football." The reporting suggests the game was marred by poor play from both teams rather than an exciting offensive showcase.
