The Baltimore Orioles have claimed outfielder Luis Robert Jr. off waivers from the New York Mets, per MLB Trade Rumors. Robert, a former Gold Glove winner, was placed on waivers by the Mets a couple of days prior to the claim.

The Orioles will need to make a corresponding move to their 40-man roster to officially add Robert. Per CBS Sports, Baltimore sits below .500 but remains just one game behind the Cleveland Guardians for a wild-card berth. The club sold at the trade deadline, according to reporting, though the specific details of those moves were not included in available reports.
