The Green Bay Packers and tight end Tucker Kraft have agreed to a four-year, $75 million contract extension, per ESPN reporting. The deal comes just over 24 hours before the Packers' season opener.
According to ESPN, the extension is worth up to $92 million and includes a $26.5 million signing bonus. NFL Trade Rumors reported the deal makes Kraft the league's highest-paid tight end, while CBS Sports characterized it as a top-three deal at the position among the reporting available.
Kraft was on pace for career numbers last season before tearing his ACL in Week 9. The extension keeps him in Green Bay, where he previously expressed a desire to remain.
