The New England Patriots have traded offensive lineman Caedan Wallace to the Miami Dolphins rather than releasing him outright. The Patriots had announced plans to cut Wallace on Monday, but the Dolphins called and were able to complete a trade before the move was processed, per Jordan Schultz's reporting.
According to Pats Pulpit, Miami is sending a 2028 sixth-round pick to New England in exchange for Wallace and a 2029 seventh-round selection. The trade represents a late-round draft pick exchange between the two AFC East rivals. Wallace was a third-round draft pick by the Patriots in a previous year.
