Dylan Raiola came off the bench and threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Jamari Johnson with 28 seconds left, ESPN reported. The pass gave Oregon a 17-14 come-from-behind win over Nebraska on Saturday night at Autzen Stadium. Nebraska led 14-6 going into the fourth quarter and then gave up 11 points.

Yahoo Sports noted that Oregon's offense had only 91 yards through three quarters. Our box score backs that up: the teams finished level at 242 total yards each. Oregon scored on a field goal in the third quarter and had 11 points in the fourth. Gage Hurych was 3-of-3 on field goals, with a long of 37. Oregon also went 3-for-3 on fourth downs, while Nebraska missed its only try. That is notable on a night when Oregon was 3-of-17 on third down.

The quarterback situation was unsettled. Addicted To Quack's recap framed the quarterback start as the big question for Oregon, and it refers to an announcement earlier in the week involving Dante. The feed excerpt cuts off there, so we can't say what was decided. The box score lists Brock Thomas with 9-of-20 for 54 yards and an interception. Raiola went 11-of-18 for 59 yards and one touchdown, with no interceptions, and added 8 yards on two carries.

Raiola's numbers were modest, but the previous week was worse. Against UCLA he went 6-of-19 for 43 yards with two interceptions and a lost fumble in a 17-15 loss. His best game this season was at USC on Sept. 26: 19-of-25 for 289 yards and two touchdowns in a 41-27 win. Before that he went 11-of-11 for 124 yards and three touchdowns against Portland State. Oregon is 4-2, 2-1 in the Big Ten, and eighth in the conference table.

Nebraska outgained Oregon through the air, 164 yards to 113, with Anthony Colandrea throwing for 164 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for a touchdown and threw an interception. Kwazi Gilmer had six catches for 74 yards and a score. The Huskers were hurt by penalties, with six for 55 yards. They are 5-2 and 2-2 in the Big Ten, tenth in the conference. The loss follows a 20-17 defeat to Indiana a week earlier, so both losses came by a combined six points. Both followed a 48-23 win over Maryland on Oct. 3.

Nebraska's next game is at home against Washington on Oct. 31. Oregon plays at Illinois on Oct. 24. The reporting we have does not say who will start for the Ducks there.
