The Houston Rockets and Amen Thompson have agreed to a five-year, $208 million contract extension, per ESPN's Shams Charania. The deal is structured as a below-max contract, allowing the Rockets to secure Thompson while managing their salary structure going forward.

Thompson averaged 18.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists for the Rockets last season. The extension locks him in through 2032 and represents Houston's continued effort to build around its young core, which also includes Alperen Sengun, Jalen Green, and Eason, according to the reporting.
