The New Orleans Saints placed wide receiver Ja'Lynn Polk on the reserve/retired list Sunday, ending his NFL career. Polk, 24, is walking away from football ahead of his third season, per multiple reports.
Polk did not play for the Saints last year due to injury, according to reporting from NFL reporter Mike Terrell. The Saints had acquired him from the New England Patriots in a trade that sent a 2027 sixth-round pick to the Patriots in exchange for Polk and a 2028 seventh-round pick. Polk was excused from the last two Saints practices before being placed on the retired list, Terrell reported.
According to another report, Polk caught two touchdown passes during his three-year NFL career, both coming in 2024.
