Earlier in the game, Schwarber launched a three-run shot off Shane Bieber in the third inning that gave Philadelphia a 3-0 lead and represented his NL-leading 34th home run of the season, according to Sportsnet.
The Blue Jays tied the game late. Andres Gimenez delivered a two-run base hit in the eighth inning to even the score, per Sportsnet. The game remained tied through 11 innings before Derek Hill broke the deadlock with an RBI single in the 12th, with bases loaded, securing the win for the Phillies. Per ESPN, Hill's hit came with the bases loaded. The victory allowed Philadelphia to avoid a three-game series sweep.
