The Seattle Seahawks announced they have re-signed safety D'Anthony Bell to the practice squad, per NFL Trade Rumors. In a corresponding move, the team cut linebacker Marvin Jones. The Seahawks' practice squad now includes defensive backs Michael Dansby, Trevon Diggs, and Andre Fuller; safety AJ Finley; nose tackle Deven Eastern; tackle Logan Brown; and receivers Emmanuel Henderson Jr. and Julian Hicks, along with Bell.

The roster adjustments come as the Seahawks prepare for their Week 1 matchup against the New England Patriots. Multiple outlets are previewing the season opener, with Field Gulls noting the team is "a mere 3-ish days" from kickoff. Per ESPN, the Seahawks discussed being ready to "play some new football" and to keep "searching for ways to make what we do better" as the season approaches. Field Gulls also noted that this version of the team is "much different" from a previous defending championship squad.
