The Seattle Seahawks have signed cornerback Trevon Diggs to a one-year contract, multiple outlets reported. Diggs, a former All-Pro with the Dallas Cowboys, tried out for the Seahawks on Tuesday before agreeing to the deal.

The signing comes as the Seahawks address secondary depth. One report indicated that Terrion Arnold is "seemingly out of the picture," suggesting the team turned to Diggs as an alternative cornerback option. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Diggs, 27, is a two-time Pro Bowler with 20 career interceptions and 63 passes defensed, and will "compete for a role in a secondary dealing with injuries."
