The Seattle Seahawks remain committed to signing free agent cornerback Terrion Arnold, but the deal is progressing slowly as both sides work through timing, per NFL Network reporting. The former first-round pick, who previously played for the Detroit Lions, has not yet been signed despite reports five days ago indicating the move was imminent.
Once Arnold signs with Seattle, he will be placed on the Commissioner's Exempt List, rendering him ineligible to play or practice, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The exempt list designation means Arnold will not be available for the Seahawks' roster despite being under contract with the team. Head coach Mike Macdonald has already addressed the potential signing with media, though the deal has not been finalized.
