The Steelers signed safety Rayshawn Jenkins to a one-year contract on Sunday, the team announced. The signing came the same day Pittsburgh released veteran safety Darnell Savage, per multiple outlets. Jenkins had been reported signing with the Steelers on Saturday.
Behind the Steel Curtain noted that the Steelers announced both moves in the same release. Savage, 32, started three games and appeared in all 17 last season for Pittsburgh, per the outlet.
