Michael Pittman will miss multiple weeks after re-injuring his foot, Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy said. Per Ray Fittipaldo, McCarthy indicated that injured reserve is a possibility, though the team has not yet made that decision. Pittman will not play when the Colts, his former team, visit Pittsburgh on Sunday.
The setback comes as the Steelers deal with a series of injury issues. On Thursday, the team opened the 21-day activation window for safety DeShon Elliott, who began the season on injured reserve.
