Yankees left-hander Ryan Weathers was removed from Saturday's start against the Blue Jays in the fourth inning with left forearm discomfort, per multiple reports. Weathers was pulled with one out and two runners on during a Myles Straw at-bat, according to MLB Trade Rumors. ESPN reported that the Yankees lost the game 4–3 and that this was Weathers' 26th start of the season.
Weathers was sent for imaging to determine the extent of the injury. One outlet described the outing as labored before the injury occurred. Yahoo Sports and Sportsnet characterized the situation as the latest injury concern for a Yankees team dealing with multiple banged-up players, though the available reporting does not specify what other injuries the team is managing.
