The Bears have released defensive end Marcus Davenport from the practice squad at his request. Per Ian Rapoport, Davenport intends to retire from the NFL following the release.

Davenport, 30, made his Bears debut after being elevated from the practice squad, appearing in Chicago's game against the Jets. He then requested his release, which the Bears granted. The Saints originally drafted Davenport in the first round in 2018 out of UTSA.
