Durham Smythe, a tight end for the Ravens, will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn Achilles. Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, tests confirmed the injury occurred in Week 4 against the Titans. Smythe limped off the field during Baltimore's victory and was immediately ruled out, with the initial concern that he had torn the Achilles quickly confirmed by subsequent testing.
Smythe, 31, was a fourth-round pick by the Dolphins in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame. According to NFL Trade Rumors, he had recently completed his four-year rookie contract and was testing the market as an unrestricted free agent before joining Baltimore.
