The Patriots promoted safety Mike Brown to their active roster on Thursday, per multiple outlets. Brown, 27, had been elevated to the roster on a standard basis in consecutive weeks before the organization made the move permanent. Per Pats Pulpit, the promotion leaves the Patriots with one remaining open roster spot.

Brown went undrafted in 2022 and signed a rookie contract with the Vikings before being released during the preseason, per NFL Trade Rumors. The 6-foot-1, 218-pound safety has appeared in games this season, logging 12 snaps on defense, according to Pats Pulpit.

The Patriots also re-signed edge rusher Jose Ramirez to the practice squad, per Yahoo Sports.
