Kristaps Porzingis will miss the opening of Warriors training camp due to a health issue, Golden State GM Mike Dunleavy Jr. revealed Monday at the team's media day. Per ESPN's Anthony Slater, Porzingis will not travel with the team to Hawaii for camp and is sidelined indefinitely.
The Warriors did not disclose specifics about Porzingis' condition. However, Dunleavy indicated that the issue may not develop into a long-term concern, according to Slater's reporting.
Porzingis, acquired at the trade deadline last season, signed a two-year, $40 million contract with the Warriors this summer. His absence comes as Golden State deals with other injury-related absences as the team prepares for the 2026-27 season.
