Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said the Steelers initially asked for more than Dallas was willing to pay for cornerback Joey Porter Jr., per reporting from Pro Football Talk and Yahoo Sports. Jones described the Steelers' opening asking price as "a little hefty," though he did not elaborate on specifics of the eventual deal.
Porter Jr. is now with the Cowboys following the trade. ESPN reported that the newly acquired cornerback does not carry an injury designation after practicing for the past two days, putting him in position to potentially debut for Dallas.
