Ariel Hukporti exited the 76ers' preseason opener against the Knicks on Monday with a right leg injury, per multiple reports. The backup center suffered the non-contact injury less than five minutes into his debut with Philadelphia while guarding Karl-Anthony Towns, his former teammate in New York. Hukporti fell to the floor and immediately grabbed the back of his lower right leg before leaving the game, per Hoops Rumors.
The 76ers are undergoing imaging on the injury, though the severity remains unclear. Joel Embiid sat out the game, allowing Hukporti to start in the preseason opener.
Separately, the Lakers were without Austin Reaves and Walker Kessler in their preseason opener against the Kings on Monday, per head coach JJ Redick.
