A 15-year-old pitcher from South Sudan, Deng Dau John Wol, plays for a Japanese independent league team. He throws a fastball at around 87 mph and has attracted the attention of scouts from the Pittsburgh Pirates and NPB team. Because of the civil war, he has not seen his parents for 11 years.
