The New York Islanders signed defenseman Logan Stanley to a contract for this season, and he joined them for practice on Sunday. George was considered a possibility to win a full-time roster spot at 22 after playing four games last season and 33 in 2024-25. Stanley skated in 76 games last regular season for Winnipeg and Buffalo, then eight more in the playoffs with the Sabres.
