Patriots wide receiver A.J. Brown is expected to miss at least four weeks with a high ankle sprain, per multiple reports. An MRI on Thursday confirmed the injury, which Brown sustained during New England's loss to the Seahawks on Wednesday. Brown was held to three catches for 26 yards before leaving the game.
According to ESPN, Brown could be placed on injured reserve in the coming days as the team finalizes his recovery timetable. The reporting suggests Brown will likely be unavailable for New England's Week 4 matchup against the Bills, with one outlet noting the Patriots might not have him for a Week 5 game against Buffalo as well. Romeo Doubs, who signed a four-year deal with the Patriots this offseason, figures to see increased offensive snaps during Brown's absence.
