Aaron Donald will not travel to Australia with the Rams for their Week 1 matchup against the 49ers, per multiple reports. Donald will be inactive for the season opener.

The Rams signed Donald out of a two-year retirement during the offseason, but the team has decided to give him more time to ramp up before returning to the field, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported. Donald, 35, is a former first-round pick of the franchise.

It remains unclear whether Donald will be available for the Rams' home opener in Week 2 or beyond.
