The Houston Astros and general manager Dana Brown have mutually agreed to part ways, the team announced. Brown's contract was set to expire at the end of the 2026 season, per Yahoo Sports.

Brown's responsibilities will be transitioned to assistant general managers Charles Cook, Gavin Dickey, and Connor Huff, as well as senior advisor Jeff Bagwell. Owner Jim Crane will oversee baseball operations during the transition period. The move comes as the Astros sit tied for first place in the AL West at one game under .500, per CBS Sports.
