MLB Trade Rumors reported that the Athletics have fired Forst, per Ken Rosenthal and Charlotte Varnes of The Athletic, though the club characterized the split as a mutual parting. Assistant manager Dan Feinstein has been named interim general manager, and the team says it will begin searching for a new GM.
Forst's departure comes as the Athletics prepare for their relocation to Las Vegas.
