DJ Moore and Ed Oliver are inactive for the Bills today at the Raiders, per Pro Football Talk and Yahoo Sports. Both outlets say only that Buffalo "will not have two of their stars today." The feed summaries give no injury designation and no reason for either absence.
Sportsnet adds that this is Moore's second straight missed game. BenchScout's logs agree. His last appearance was the Oct. 4 loss to New England, where he had one catch for 11 yards and one carry for 6. He did not play in Monday's win at the Rams. Buffalo Rumblings' Sean Murphy wrote that the Bills ruled no one out before today but had "quite a few key players" listed as questionable. The excerpt cuts off before naming them, so we can't say whether Moore and Oliver were among them or who else was in doubt.
Moore has played four of Buffalo's five games. He has 12 catches on 20 targets for 178 yards and a touchdown, an average of 14.8 yards a catch. His best game was Week 1 at Houston, with five catches for 100 yards and a score on a 43-yard play. He had six catches for 67 yards on 10 targets in the Sept. 27 win over the Chargers. Those 10 targets were his most this season. Buffalo has to spread them elsewhere today.
Oliver has played three of five games and has 9 tackles and a half-sack. That means he was already out for two games before today. The reporting doesn't say why he missed those, and it doesn't connect today's absence to them.
Buffalo is 4-1 and first in the AFC East, but it arrives with mixed recent results. The Bills lost 29-26 to New England on Oct. 4, then won 37-34 at the Rams on Oct. 12 without Moore. They have allowed 34 or more points in two of their last three games, which makes a thinner defensive front relevant.
Las Vegas is 3-2 and has lost two straight. The Raiders fell 30-27 to Kansas City on Oct. 4 and lost 45-17 at New England on Oct. 11. They are third in the AFC West.
Kickoff in Las Vegas is about 90 minutes after the inactive lists were filed. The reporting doesn't say whether Moore or Oliver is expected back after this game.
