The decision allows Washington to keep Daniels off the injured reserve list while he recovers. The team is set to start backup quarterback Marcus Mariota for the next few games while Daniels works his way back. Earlier reporting from NFL insider Ian Rapoport indicated the organization was hopeful Daniels could avoid injured reserve and return before missing four weeks.
