The Dodgers will start Tarik Skubal in Game 1 of the National League Division Series against the Braves on Saturday at Dodger Stadium, ESPN reported Friday. Skubal, a two-time Cy Young Award winner, was acquired by Los Angeles at the trade deadline and earned the nod over reigning World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who will start later in the series.
The Dodgers rotation also includes fellow two-time Cy Young winner Blake Snell and All-Star right-hander Tyler Glasnow. According to the reporting, the team had multiple capable options for the Game 1 assignment.
