Mickey Gasper hit a first-inning home run to lift the Boston Red Sox to a 1-0 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Friday night. Ranger Suarez was sharp on the mound, allowing just five hits over seven innings without surrendering a run.

One outlet reported that benches cleared during a contentious eighth-inning double play. Per a Reddit post, Gasper's homer was his second recent game-winning shot, with the player now boasting eight home runs in his last 16 games, though this statistic was not corroborated by the other reporting sources.
