Sonny Gray delivered a dominant performance on the road, pitching seven shutout innings as the Boston Red Sox defeated the Baltimore Orioles 5-0. Per Deadspin, the win marked Gray's major league-leading 17th victory of the season.

The Red Sox offense provided ample support behind Gray's pitching. Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Eli White combined for four RBIs in the victory, according to Sportsnet. Gray struck a confident tone after the game, telling Yahoo Sports: "We want to bury those guys, especially after what that dude was trying to do last night."

Over The Monster's coverage noted that while Gray's postseason performance remains uncertain, the extra rest heading into the September stretch run has enabled him to pitch effectively against quality lineups on the road.
