The Memphis Grizzlies beat the Utah Jazz 110-105 on Monday night. Cedric Coward had 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Ty Jerome added 15 points and eight assists, per Sportsnet and ESPN. ESPN said Coward led the way. Deadspin focused on the finish. It reported that Jerome scored eight of his 15 points in the final six minutes, including two free throws with 11.6 seconds left.

Our box score shows how Jerome got there. He shot 4-of-15 from the field and 1-of-6 from three. He went 6-of-7 at the line, so free throws made up much of his scoring. Coward was far more efficient. He went 6-of-12, hit all four of his three-point attempts, and played 31 minutes. Memphis shot 16-of-37 from deep (43%) against Utah's 10-of-33 (30%), and it made 20 of 22 free throws.

Utah won several other categories. The Jazz had a 49-43 rebounding edge, including 14 offensive boards to Memphis's seven, and outscored the Grizzlies 46-34 in the paint. They also scored 16 points off turnovers to Memphis's eight. Memphis's three-point shooting and free-throw accuracy offset all of that. The Grizzlies' largest lead was 16, and Utah's was four. Keyonte George led the Jazz with 26 points on 9-of-17 shooting. Ace Bailey had 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Mo Bamba had 14 points and four blocks.

The margin was much closer than in the first meeting. Memphis won 123-103 on Wednesday, Oct. 21. ESPN described Monday's result as Memphis's "second win in four games over Utah." Our records show only two games between the teams this season, and Memphis won both. We can't tell from the feed summary what span ESPN's "four games" covers.
