Jesús Luzardo recorded the first shutout of his career Monday, striking out 12 batters and allowing just two hits in a complete game as the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Atlanta Braves 1-0.

The performance capped a milestone moment for Luzardo in his 150th career start. According to reporting, it marks the first time in his career that he has even recorded an out in the ninth inning, let alone thrown a complete game. Kyle Schwarber provided the game's only run with a solo home run in the eighth inning.

Yahoo Sports reported that Luzardo struck out 10 and allowed two hits in what it described as his first complete game, though most other outlets cited the 12-strikeout total. The victory allowed Philadelphia to split the four-game series with Atlanta.
