Foster Moreau and Bhayshul Tuten each have two touchdown catches in Texans-Jaguars, and Houston leads. Per Pro Football Talk and Yahoo Sports, Tuten also had a rushing touchdown overturned on what they called a bad holding call. Only those two outlets carry that detail. Our box score shows Tuten with nine carries for 31 yards and no rushing score.
The game is being played at Wembley Stadium, with Jacksonville the designated home team. Our box score has Houston ahead 30-21 at 0:50 of the third quarter, and the game is still live. The sources captured earlier stages. A Reddit highlight post had the Texans up 17-14 after Moreau's touchdown, and the Game Thread showed HOU 24, JAX 14 at 9:21 of the third. Sportsnet's clip says Moreau caught a CJ Stroud pass for a score at the end of the first half.
Moreau's two catches have both gone for touchdowns, for 7 yards in total. He has had two targets all day. Stroud has thrown three touchdown passes on 18-of-26 for 242 yards, with no interceptions and a 137.0 rating. Jaylin Noel has the other one, and he has 107 yards on four catches. Houston has run for only 45 yards on 14 carries, so most of the offense is coming through the air.
Tuten has been the surprise on Jacksonville's side. Before today he had no receiving touchdowns this season, just nine catches for 78 yards across five games. His rushing line was 82 carries for 349 yards and two touchdowns. Today he has three catches for 40 yards and both of his scores. Trevor Lawrence has thrown three touchdown passes, the third to Nate Boerkircher. He also has one interception, and Jacksonville has been penalized six times for 66 yards.
The stakes differ for the two sides. The Jaguars came in 4-1 and first in the AFC South, on a three-game winning streak. They beat the Eagles 19-17, won 22-17 at Cincinnati and beat New England 35-6. The Texans came in 1-4 and third in the division. They had lost 34-30 to Dallas and 19-17 at Indianapolis before beating Tennessee 26-3 last Sunday. A win here would give them back-to-back victories.
Houston plays the Giants next, on Sunday, Oct. 25. Jacksonville's next game is against the Colts on Nov. 1.
